The Family Council is an independent, self-led group of caregivers and loved ones of residents at St. Lawrence Lodge. We meet monthly to be a collective voice for residents and families—communicating, informing, and collaborating with the Lodge to enhance care and quality of life. Family Councils are recognized in Ontario’s Fixing Long‑Term Care Act, 2021 (FLTC Act) as a key partner in oversight and continuous improvement (see https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/21f39).
