Accommodation

With stunning views of the famous St Lawrence River and a modern facility that adheres to Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) guidelines, St Lawrence Lodge offers residents the optimal home environment required at this stage in their life. As a person experiences increasing health challenges and pronounced limitations in daily functioning, they become more dependent on their surrounding environment for support. The design of St Lawrence Lodge provides for a supportive, enabling and home-like environment that allows individual residents to experience daily life in a safe and comfortable home.

St Lawrence Lodge has seven Resident Home Areas (RHA’s) consisting of a maximum of 32 beds each. Serving as self-contained neighbourhoods, they operate in unison with the larger facility as a whole including shared spaces including Town Square, Worship Centre, The Lodge Shop, beauty salon and resident library.

Each RHA features resident rooms with an en-suite bathroom that promote and encourage self-care when appropriate, independence and privacy. Each RHA also offers personal care centres with therapeutic bathing areas, living rooms, dining rooms, designated activity rooms and interior courtyards. For comfort and safety, each RHA offers controls for noise suppression, air quality and conditioning as well as security systems.

All resident rooms are furnished with an electric adjustable bed and beside table and chair. *Residents are encouraged to make their room their own private sanctuary by bringing in their own possessions such as a chair, TV, radio, lamps, pictures, blankets and a set of drawers.

The fee for accommodation is determined by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, consistent across the province. Financial assistance is available to all residents through the MOHLTC. Financial assistance is not available to residents in semi-private or private accommodations.

*Due to safety considerations and space limitations, there may be restrictions on the personal belongings brought in to a resident’s room. This will be discussed prior to admission.
